According to media reports, a 37-year-old man named Sailesh Thackeray took Rs 44 lakh from Umesh Yadav telling him that he was buying a plot for the cricketer.

Umesh Yadav said that Sailesh Thackeray first gained my trust after which he started looking after all financial matters, officials said.

Umesh said that Thackeray also started checking my bank account, income tax and other financial matters.

Officials said that Umesh Yadav wanted to buy a land in Nagpur for which he asked the manager, however, he asked Umesh to immediately deposit 44 lakhs in his bank account.

They said that Umesh Yadav had deposited the money but Selish bought the plot in his name instead of the Indian cricketer.

Officials said that when the Amish came to know about the fraud, they asked their manager to return the plot, but the manager refused not only the plot but also the money.

Later, the Indian cricketer reached the police station against the manager and filed an FIR. However, no arrests have been made so far.
